Cyproheptadine may also be used for a hormone disorder (Cushing's Syndrome), and sexual function problems due to certain drugs.

Additionally, although not approved by the FDA for this purpose, cyproheptadine has been used to stimulate appetite in underweight patients (anorexia nervosa).

Cyproheptadine is also used, though rarely, as a prophylactic drug for migraine.
